   According to the Puranas, Vishnu the devotee of Prahlad's father hirankashyap had considered himself to be a god. He was anti of Vishnu while Prahlad was a Vishnu devotee. He prevented Prahalad from making Vishnu's devotion to him when Prahlad did not listen to his father then his father tried to kill him. For this, the father of Prahlad asked for help from his sister Holika. Holika has received the boon of not burning in the fire and Holika gets ready to help her brother. Holika set off in the funeral pyre carrying Prahlad but by the grace of Lord Vishnu devotees Prahalad get a safe escape and the Holika gets burned to ashes in the fire. This story suggests that there is a victory of good over evil.
